She describes her difficulty in getting to know the inner workings of Indian society and gives her thoughts on visual arts in India, particularly sculpture, and widespread presence of erotic sculpture in Hindu temples She describes a visit to Belur and Halebid and reflects on the paradoxes within Indian culture in many spheres of life.
