- This photograph was kept in an envelope with a letter from Pavel Lipchitz. On the back there is writing in Russian... 'here I covered Zhenyutku [=Znehya, Evgenia], I wanted to blow away the leaf from her face'. The two women could possibly be Maria Galpern, mother of Evgenia and Pavel's first wife, but more likely they are Pavel's sisters Dina and Fanya Lipchitz.
