Description
This letter sent by Barbara Hepworth to Margaret Gardiner concerns general news. Hepworth writes about the art industry and says that she feels prizes and ceremonies are complicated and that it would be better to spend the money buying art for public collections, she also writes about the parties saying that she isn't too keen on them, 'the contacts I love are those which lead to a concrete development'. She also writes about renting a depot for her sculptures in London but says it would need to be big, she also says that she has a lot of work taking form and writes about the long process of creating large scale sculptures, mentioning a figure she's been working on since August.
