Blank Image (for use as default)

Douglas Gordon came to prominence in the early 1990s with his compelling works that deal with subjects such as memory, perception and meaning.

Gordon, winner of the Turner Prize in 1996, was born in Glasgow in 1966.

Best known for his installations, Gordon works with a variety of media including film, video, photography and text. This, his first major exhibition in the UK includes new work specially made for Tate Liverpool and is curated by Mark Francis. Douglas Gordon will be shown alongside J.M.W. Turner: The Sun is God, offering potential readings between the two artists.
